We recommend ordering Brooks running shoes 1/2 to one size larger than your dress shoe. Check out our size chart and fit tips below. You can also get started

How to Measure

For the best result, measure your bare feet later in the day, as our feet tend to expand.

1. Use a pencil or ballpoint pen to trace both feet on a sheet of paper.
  • No pen and paper handy? Just stand on a ruler or measuring tape with your heel at the 0 point, and note the length to your longest toe.

2. Measure the distance from your heel to the tip of your longest toe. If your feet are different lengths, use the longer one to determine your shoe size.
  • if between sizes, round up or down to the closest size within 2mm.

3. For running shoes, it’s best to have about a thumb width of space between your longest toe and the tip of your shoe, so consider going a half size up from your measured size.

Bras

Questions about bras for running? We’ve got you covered. Check out our size chart, fit tips, and measuring guide below. You can also get started with our bra finder or ask a guru.

Fit guide

Check out our 3 Fit Fundementals:

woman in bra highlighting bottom band
1. Check the bottom band

Make sure the bottom band is snug and lies flat across your back — not riding up or loose around your rib cage.

woman in bra with bra cups illustrated
2. Then check the cups

The cups should fit smoothly — spilling out the sides or front means the cup size is too small, while extra space means the cups are too big.

woman in bra highlighting straps
3. Last thing: the straps

Straps should lie smoothly against your skin, without sliding around or digging uncomfortably into your skin.

You can also shop for your sister size

Sister sizes are bra sizes that are not your true cup or band sizes, but they are equivalents. For example, the sister sizes of a 36D include 34DD and 38C. This makes shopping easier and can help you find the right bra that fits you best. Continue on to the size chart below to find your sister size.

How to measure

photo of two women with numbers identifying the parts of the body needing to be measured to ensure a good bra fit
You’ll need a flexible tape measure. It’s also best to wear a bra that doesn’t change your shape — no padding or compression. You can also just skip the bra.
  1.  Measure your rib cage
Start your measurements by finding your band size. Measure around your rib cage where the bottom band would sit. The tape measure should feel quite snug. If you get a fraction, round down to the nearest inch. Using this chart, find your corresponding band size based on your measurement.
  2.  Measure your bust
Next, find your cup size. Measure around the fullest part of your boobs — which may not be the center — and round up to the nearest inch. Then subtract your rib cage measurement. The difference in inches is your suggested cup size. If you get a fraction, round up to the larger size.

How to measure

photo of two women with numbers identifying the parts of the body needing to be measured to ensure a good bra fit
  1.  Measure your chest (bust)
With good posture, wrap a measuring tape under your arms around your back and take the measurement at fullest part of your chest. Be sure to keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.
  2.  Measure your waist
Your waistline is sometimes tricky to find and measure! The natural waistline is halfway between the lowest rib you can feel and the top, outside edge of the hip bone. One trick might help you find this spot are to stand up straight and tilt over like a teapot. Where your torso creases is often where your waistline is. Another trick is just to measure 1” above your belly button.

You’ll want to wear close-fitting clothes so that loose fabric doesn’t get in the way of measuring. If you’re at home or in the privacy of a dressing room, measuring in your underwear is great.
